Please call 860.536.3880, email info@snhc.com, or come to our Center to make your appointment.  If you get our voicemail, we are probably on the other line or in session, so please leave your name, phone number, and the best time for your appointment or any questions and we will call you back as soon as possible.  We require a credit card to reserve your appointment time.

We recommend that you print and fill out your Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, Naturopathic, Massage, or Thermography forms (below) and bring them to your first appointment.  It is also an option to fill out these forms at our office by arriving 30 minutes before your first appointment.

Your Appointment:

Welcome to Stonington Natural Health Center.  We have created a Center for you that is relaxing and blissful.

For Acupuncture, please wear comfortable loose fitting clothes that can easily be rolled up above your elbows and knees or draping is available if you would like to shed a layer.  For Massage appointments, you will always be properly draped and covered with linens and we ask that you leave on your underwear.   For Reiki and Reflexology treatments, you can just kick off your shoes and stay fully clothed.  Our utmost goal is for you to feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed. 

Payment:

Cash, check (with credit card to guaranty), Visa or Mastercard are accepted.

Gratuity:

Tips are appropriate for health services and generally range between 10 - 20% of the service rate.  Gratuity can be cash, check, or a gift given either directly to the Health Practitioner or in a gratuity envelope.  Tips can not be given by credit or debit cards.

Acknowledgement of an exceptional job is always appreciated; if the added expense makes it a financial challenge, however, we would much rather you put this money towards getting treatments regularly with us.

Cancellation Policy:

If you are going to be late for an appointment, we would rather you come late and have a shorter treatment than miss your appointment altogether; we look forward to seeing you and you will benefit from the high quality of our treatments with any length of time.  Please call to inform us if you are running late.  Ideally, please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time to allow time for yourself to use the restroom and unwind before your appointment, and have a cup of tea or water.

Your treatment time is reserved for you.  If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please call at least two days in advance (including Sundays and when the office is closed) to allow us to reschedule your time.  For Monday appointments, please call by noon on Friday.  If no one is available to answer, please leave a message.  Because your treatment time is reserved for you and we have made preparations and staffing for your appointment, with less than 24 hours notice, you are responsible for the charge of your appointment.  Your credit card will be charged or one treatment will be deducted from your Health Membership/Package.  It is our courtesy that for appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice, if you or we are able to fill your appointment, you will not be charged.

If you can not make it to an appointment, it is a great alternative to substitute a friend or family member in your appointment time.  If it is their first Acupuncture or Naturopathic appointment at SNHC, please let them know about the $50 intake fee.

We appreciate your cooperation on informing us at least 48 hours in advance as it is vitally important to our mutual success; we try to make reminder calls as a courtesy, however, you are ultimately responsible for remembering your appointments.  If you are interested in a copy of the cancellation policy, it is in the financial policy form in the forms above or you can contact our office at 860.536.3880 or info@snhc.com.

Confidentiality:

All names and all information about our clients are kept private, confidential, and locked.

If we see you outside of the Center or in public, we may not come right up to you.  Our greatest concern is respecting your personal space and confidentiality.  Because we will not always know if it is appropriate for us to say hi to you in public, unless you make it clear that you would like to say hi, we will not cross this personal boundary.  We would love to talk with you, though, so please feel free to come say hi to us if you'd like.

For every person that you refer for Acupuncture or Massage, receive a complimentary 10 minute massage added onto your One-Hour Massage or Acupuncture Treatment ($15 value) OR Save up five of your Referrals and receive a Full One-Hour Massage or Acupuncture Treatment ($80 - $100 Value).  It is a lot of fun to receive free Massage and Acupuncture!  Please ask your friends or family to put you in the referral box of their intake form and we have a sparkly blue box with a notecard with your name on it for each referral.  We look forward to rewarding you and helping your circle of friends and family to be healthier and happier.
